Member Puts First On Scene Training to Very Good Use.

Accrington MSC Member and 2017 Marshal Champion Amanda Baron put all her marshalling skills to good use when she helped a badly injured motorist on the M53 this week.

Amanda found the driver unconscious and fitting after his vehicle collided with the barrier at speed and crashed into another vehicle. In an article for the MSA Extra magazine Amanda describes how she used her First on Scene and emergency first aid training to help the injured driver before the ambulance and fire brigade arrived on scene.

Well done Amanda-you should be very proud of your achievement.

The U17MC(NW) is running a First Marshal on Scene training course at Blackburn Services (M65, J4) on Saturday 1st December 2018. You can register now using the following link : http://thats-motorsport.com/training/

Graham Maxwell.

Do you think Prodrive will miss this one?

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Graham Maxwell on Sunday 18th March 2018 after a short illness. Graham had been diagnosed with Cancer just eight weeks prior to his death.

He gave so much of his time and himself to supporting local motor sport clubs at grass roots level as an organiser and marshal. In 1997 he won the Knutsfords Scatter championship in a 4×4 Sierra as Navigator and was the driving force in setting up the Tour of Cheshire.

Graham enjoyed to compete in autotests and autosolos. In recent years he was a regular Clerk of Course on the CSMA Lymm events. In the last 18 months he organised factory tours for club members; to Prodrive, M –Sport, Bentley and Brigg Automotive Company as well as running a six car stand at the Footman James Classic Car Show last September.

Our thoughts go out to his wife Rita and all the family at this sad time.

2CV Dolly at the Accrington MSC February 2018 Event.

Our event on 18th February attracted an entry from Accrington  member Ian Seabrook who travelled all the way from deepest Wales, in his prized 2CV Dolly, to join us at Blackburn.

Ian has produced a video of his exploits https://youtu.be/jw3eaQfQv3g and a blog about what an Autotest is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhYIZd5R3HY.

Grab a cup of tea, sit down and enjoy.
